Wife of US Lowest-Paid Governor, Ann LaPage takes Waitressing Job

Wife of US Lowest-Paid Governor, Ann LePage Takes Waitressing Job Ann LePage, the wife of Maine Republican Governor Paul LePage, got a waitressing job a few weeks ago to “supplement” her husband’s $70,000 per year salary, the lowest of any U.S. governor. The Governor Paul LePage made this known at a recent town hall in Maine.
The LePages live with their dog, in the Augusta governor’s mansion and bought a $215,000 Boothbay home two years ago. The governor recently tried but failed to increase his successor’s salary to $150,000 per year, above the nearly $135,000 average for all 50 state governors in 2015. Ann LePage said being a waitress is “something I’ve always, always wanted to do.” LePage said she spent years taking care of her mother, who long suffered from scleroderma and passed away in October. Now it’s time to follow through on her interest, LePage said, adding: “I know she’d be proud of me.” ”Because of who I am and who I’m married to, I want to work extra hard just so I can show them I can do the job,” she said. She doesn’t tell customers, or co-workers, who she is unless they ask.

How to avoid drama with Friends

"How to Avoid Drama with Friends   Being in fights with other people can cause unnecessary stress and aggravation in your life. Because who really wants to have to worry about other people being mad at them, and sometimes even talking behind their backs? Just follow these steps to avoid having drama in your life.   . Never talk badly about other people behind their backs, no matter what. It may be a fun thing to do at the time, because there's a whole other group of people doing it, but most of the time it comes back to haunt you. The person will find out and if it's a friend of yours, it can cause a fight.   . Occasionally when it's needed, try putting others before yourself. For example, if your friend is having troubles at home, and they need to get out of the house and just talk, maybe you can stop what you're doing (if you're doing something that isn't too important) and go help your friend. People will think of you as a better person, and won't really have a reason to be mad at you...   . Don't tell someone else's secrets! Of course your friend is going to find out, from another so called friend, and they are going to confront you about this, this can lead to a lot of things, like people turning against you, and your secrets being told.   . Stay out of other people's drama! There's no reason for you to get into the middle of someone else's fight. Let them work it out on their own. Because whenever people do this, even if it's just to help a friend, you usually get dragged into it and end up having people turned against you in one way or another (this doesn't apply to putting others before yourself, in some situations you really can't).   . If you fight fire with fire, you'll end up getting burned.   . Do not deny something when someone asks you "did you do this?", be truthful. Honesty is the first requirement in friendship, and if you don't have that in a friendship, you're not getting yourself into a good situation." whow   It's never too late to change one's perception. ‎ ‎

When you get bored with your relationship, what do you do?

When you get bored with your relationship, what you can do? If you feel you are stuck in a boring relationship, then its time to insert more energy and make it lively before you give up hope on your relationship. Anything could cause boredom in your relationship as it could be personal issues, stress from work, the fact that you are getting older, or you might have lost the sparks in the relationship. Whatever the case may be, you can bring back the lost sparks, make your relationship interesting and exciting and make it work again. To bring back the sparks lost in your relationship first find out the reason for the boredom in your relationship. If it is your personal problems that is causing boredom in your relationship then you need to try and create happiness in yourself as well as in your relationship, take the opportunity to sort out your personal problems. By sorting out your personal problems you can make a difference in your relationship. Courtesy:naijapr.com
When you are through sorting out your personal problems, then you can take the next step which is the most important one, and that is to engage in completely new activities. Whatever you want to do has to be new to create that bonding effect. You can make a list of things you will like to do if you have the opportunity, make sure to include what your partner will also love to do and that will be your investment in your relationship. You can decide to have dinner together, go to the cinema, visit interesting places, travel to a new place, learn a new language e.t.c ‎ You need to keep it in mind that a relationship is like a plant, if you don’t feed and water it, then it will die. So, if you are both very busy with work, then you need to make time yourselves. Do something extraordinary, it will keep your relationship alive and healthy. You can also brainstorm together and write any ideas you can think of to change your regular pattern, even if it appears silly to you, write it, you can sift and change it later. Plan for the best and don’t forget to make each other feel special with a surprise gift or outing. Do all things necessary to get rid of boredom and keep your relationship healthy.‎

RIP Amodu Shuaibu: Unsung Hero and Legend of Nigerian Football

Amodu shuaibu’s death was announced early today by The Nigerian Football Federation, NFF. Nigeria politics online gathered that he died in his sleep after complaining of chest pains on Friday night. He died at the age of 58. Our investigation reveals that his remains will be buried today. The four-time coach of super Eagles was born on 18 April, 1958 in Edo State.  He was at various times with Dumez and Niger Tornadoes as striker. It was gathered that leg injury put an end to his career as a striker.
As a coach, Amodu has managed a number of club sides in the past both in Nigeria and overseas including: Shooting Stars, BCC Lions, El Kanemi Warriors, Sharks F.C and Orlando Pirates of South Africa. He first managed the Nigerian national team from April 2001 to February 2002, where he led Nigeria to the AFCON bronze medal at Mali 2002. He was later dismissed after the AFCON tournament. Amodu later stated that his dismissal was “unfair”, and also said that, a month later; he had yet to receive a formal letter confirming his dismissal. He was appointed Head Coach of the Nigerian national side in April 2008, and was sacked on 6 February 2010 despite reaching third place with the national side in the 2010 African Cup of Nations in Angola. He was demoted to serve as the coach of the Nigerian home-based Eagles. Amodu was appointed technical director of Nigeria’s national teams in May 2013. He was named Technical Director of Bendel Insurance F.C in November 2013. He was re-appointed Nigeria manager in October 2014, replacing Stephen Keshi. It was his fourth spell in charge of the country. Keshi returned to the role two weeks later but was fired in July 2015 and Amodu took over the Eagles again temporarily. He was replaced by Sunday Oliseh on a permanent basis later that month. Following the resignation of Sunday Oliseh, the NFF again, appointed Amodu as the new interim coach of the national team. The new coaching crew alongside Amodu was made up of Salisu Ibrahim, Alloy Agu, Imama Amakapabo and Kennedy Boboye. Amodu’s other accomplishments include Nigerian FA Cup titles with BCC Lions of Gboko and El Kanemi Warriors on multiple occasions. It is noteworthy that Amodu has always contributed his quota to the development of football in Nigeria. However, despite his remarkable achievements as Super Eagles coach, the Edo state born coach has had a turbulent relationship with Nigerian football fans and his employers. After Amodu was appointed the technical director of Nigeria’s national team in 2013, he said: “It’s a call to serve the nation. I hope we can all come together and drive our football in a positive direction. “The role is an important one as it serves as the fundamental for the country’s football. We need the support of everyone to excel.” Meanwhile, Amodu Shuaibu is gone but Nigerians home and abroad continue to mourn him due to good legacies he left behind in football industry.   Late former Super Eagles’ Coach, Amodu Shuaibu, is due for burial today. Shuaibu, as earlier reported, died in his sleep between Friday night and Saturday morning. According to the Nigeria Football Federation official twitter handle,‏ @thenff: “Amodu Shuaibu’s death comes three days after that of former Super Eagles Captain and Coach, Stephen Keshi. “The four – time Coach of the Super Eagles complained of chest pains on Friday night and died in his sleep. RIP.” Sources told The Eagle Online that the leadership of the NFF has already sent a strong delegation to his hometown in Okpella, Edo State, for the burial. Shuaibu was the technical director of the Nigerian Football Federation until his death. He was a four-time coach of the Super Eagles. Shuaibu managed a number of club sides in Nigeria. They included BCC Lions, El-Kanemi Warriors and Shooting Stars. He also managed Orlando Pirates in South Africa. He first managed the Nigerian national team from April 2001 to February 2002 when he was dismissed. Shuaibu later stated that his dismissal was “unfair” and that a month later, he had yet to receive a formal letter confirming his dismissal. He was re-appointed manager in April 2008. He was appointed technical director of Nigeria’s national teams in May 2013. He was re-appointed Nigeria manager in October 2014, replacing Stephen Keshi. Shuaibu was born April 18, 1958. He managed the Super Eagles between 1998 and 1999, 2001 and 2002 and 2008 and 2010. He was appointed Head Coach of the Nigerian national side in April 2008 and was sacked on February 6, 2010 despite reaching third place with the national side in the 2010 African Cup of Nations. He was demoted to serve as the coach of the Nigerian home-based Eagles. He led Nigeria to the AFCON bronze medal at Mali 2002 and Angola 2010. He won Nigerian FA Cup titles with BCC Lions of Gboko and El Kanemi Warriors on multiple occasions. He was re-appointed Nigeria manager in October 2014, replacing Stephen Keshi. It was his fifth spell in charge of the country. Keshi returned to the role two weeks later but was fired in July 2015 and Amodu took over the Eagles again temporarily. He was replaced by Sunday Oliseh on a permanent basis later that month.

Mohammed Ali the Boxing Legend has died

Breaking news!! Muhammad Ali has died at the age of 74, a family spokesman has said. The former world heavyweight boxing champion, one of the world's best-known sportsmen, had been in hospital in the US city of Phoenix in Arizona state. He had been fighting a respiratory illness, a condition that has been further complicated by Parkinson's disease. Born Cassius Marcellus Clay, Ali shot to fame by winning light-heavyweight gold at the 1960 Rome Olympics. Nicknamed "The Greatest", the American beat Sonny Liston in 1964 to win his first world title and became the first boxer to capture a world heavyweight title on three separate occasions. He eventually retired in 1981, having won 56 of his 61 fights. Crowned "Sportsman of the Century" by Sports Illustrated and "Sports Personality of the Century" by the BBC, Ali was noted for his pre- and post-fight talk and bold fight predictions just as much as his boxing skills inside the ring. But he was also a civil rights campaigner and poet who transcended the bounds of sport, race and nationality. Asked how he would like to be remembered, he once said: "As a man who never sold out his people. But if that's too much, then just a good boxer. I won't even mind if you don't mention how pretty I was." Ali turned professional immediately after the Rome Olympics and rose through the heavyweight ranks, delighting crowds with his showboating, shuffling feet and lightning reflexes. British champion Henry Cooper came close to stopping Clay, as he was still known, when they met in a non-title bout in London in 1963. Cooper floored the American with a left hook, but Clay picked himself up off the canvas and won the fight in the next round when a severe cut around Cooper's left eye forced the Englishman to retire. Ali's boxing career ■ Won Olympic light-heavyweight gold in 1960 ■ Turned professional that year and was world heavyweight champion from 1964 to 1967, 1974 to 1978 and 1978 to 1979 ■ Had 61 professional bouts, winning 56 (37 knockouts, 19 decisions), and losing five (4 decisions, 1 retirement) In February the following year, Clay stunned the boxing world by winning his first world heavyweight title at the age of 22. He predicted he would beat Liston, who had never lost, but few believed he could do it. Yet, after six stunning rounds, Liston quit on his stool, unable to cope with his brash, young opponent. At the time of his first fight with Liston, Clay was already involved with the Nation of Islam, a religious movement whose stated goals were to improve the spiritual, mental, social, and economic condition of African Americans in the United States. But in contrast to the inclusive approach favoured by civil rights leaders like Dr Martin Luther King, the Nation of Islam called for separate black development and was treated by suspicion by the American public. Ali eventually converted to Islam, ditching what he perceived was his "slave name" and becoming Cassius X and then Muhammad Ali. In 1967, Ali took the momentous decision of opposing the US war in Vietnam, a move that was widely criticised by his fellow Americans. He refused to be drafted into the US military and was subsequently stripped of his world title and boxing licence. He would not fight again for nearly four years. After his conviction for refusing the draft was overturned in 1971, Ali returned to the ring and fought in three of the most iconic contests in boxing history, helping restore his reputation with the public. He was handed his first professional defeat by Joe Frazier in the "Fight of the Century" in New York on 8 March 1971, only to regain his title with an eighth-round knockout of George Foreman in the "Rumble in the Jungle" in Kinshasa, Zaire (now Democratic Republic of Congo) on 30 October 1974. Ali fought Frazier for a third and final time in the Philippines on 1 October 1975, coming out on top in the "Thrilla in Manila" when Frazier failed to emerge for the 15th and final round. Six defences of his title followed before Ali lost on points to Leon Spinks in February 1978, although he regained the world title by the end of the year, avenging his defeat at the hands of the 1976 Olympic light-heavyweight champion. Ali's career ended with one-sided defeats by Larry Holmes in 1980 and Trevor Berbick in 1981, many thinking he should have retired long before. He fought a total of 61 times as a professional, losing five times and winning 37 bouts by knockout. Soon after retiring, rumours began to circulate about the state of Ali's health. His speech had become slurred, he shuffled and he was often drowsy. Parkinson's Syndrome was eventually diagnosed but Ali continued to make public appearances, receiving warm welcomes wherever he travelled. He lit the Olympic cauldron at the 1996 Games in Atlanta and carried the Olympic flag at the opening ceremony for the 2012 Games in London. Source: BBC
